| My four sisters and I enjoyed our weekend at The Thistledown (now The Thomas Abel) Cottage on the weekend, October 21 - 23, 2011. Everything was wonderful. Meeting Mary and Robin when we arrived and being shown around the Cottage was a bonus. They were so very pleasant and took obvious pleasure in the Cottage. They thought of everything.
The Cottage was so comfortable and clean - from the bedrooms with their lovely linens to the bathrooms with the 'little things' needed for a weekend away, to the sitting room with lots of comfortable seating, to the well-equipped kitchen (I had a little concern on Saturday morning when I went to prepare our breakfast casserole to find no casserole dishes but fortunately, we had a roasting pan we brought Friday's dinner in so we managed okay with that) - so many little details were taken care of - we had a truly great time. We really enjoyed having a little fire in the fireplace on Friday evening and being within walking distance of the downtown was so very convenient.
