Description

Built in 1816, Vanderlip Marcy House is centrally located in the heart of historic Niagara-on-the-Lake, on block from Queen Street and a leisurely stroll from pubs, shops, restaurants, art galleries and the Shaw Theatre. North America's oldest golf course is five minutes away.

Our period house was built immediately after the War of 1812 and has undergone two extensions that now offer 2,750 square feet of luxurious living space. Each of the four original rooms retain its period fireplace. The two upstairs bedrooms are tastefully decorated with period antiques and an ultra modern bathroom. The original ground floor has been converted to a master bedroom with antique brass king size bed and ensuite. What was once the parlour is now an elegant dining room with seating for 8 and a gas fireplace. Immediately adjoining is a modern kitchen, fully equipped with everything a chef could want! Also a seating area where you and your gests can gather. The Morning Room, located next to the kitchen is an inviting space dominated by south-facing windows and is perfect for reading, relaxing or games. Outside the kitchen is a private, outdoor bistro seating area, perfect for enjoying morning coffee, croissants and the local paper. At the end of the house is the Great Room, a large, open area, generously furnished for socializing, conversation and TV. Enjoy a glass of local wine under the gazebo and fire up the BBQ / Grill wile you relax in the comfort of our lush private gardens.
